低浮上: The Japanese SNS Status That Means 'I'm Around, But Quietly'

It's a fan-culture word that's spread widely. Let me explain.

📱 What 低浮上 actually means

The kanji read literally as low + surfacing. Picture a submarine that's near the surface but not fully breaking through — you can see it's there, but only barely.

On SNS, 低浮上 = 'I'm logged in, but not posting / replying as much as usual.'

Close to English 'I'm around but lurking', or 'I'm being a ghost lately'.

📌 It's not the same as 潜水せんすい (submerged = totally inactive). 低浮上 = I'm here, just quieter.
